12 DAY VISAYAN ADVENTURE
The Philippines is famous for its amazing islands and for having the happiest people in the world. It is less well known for its adrenaline inducing Adventure Tourism. It has a lot to offer and in our exhilarating 12 day tour we cover the best of the best in a way that won’t leave you exhausted but instead revived, energised and on a natural high.
Day One: After personal introductions and trip briefing we head from our seaside accommodation on Mactan Island to the mountains of Cebu to get some quality training in ropes and rappelling/abseiling. We will use these skills many times throughout the trip so want you to be competent and comfortable.

Day Two
This is a water day! We spend the day island hopping on a traditional banca to a nearby island before getting some skills in kayaking to allow easy exploration of other nearby islands and a great bird sanctuary. Snorkeling is also quite good here.
Day Three and Four: Catch an early ferry to Bohol and continue on to adventure capital, Danao. The Suislide, Plunge, and Abseiling are the more adrenaline-based activities and the River climbing, Kayaking, and Root Climbing are great too. Caving is also an excellent option at night for the brave and young at heart!
The next day is more laid back and will give you a chance to do any of the activities missed out on such as the Organic Farm tour or the Village tour. An early morning Historical trek is also on offer and is a great way to start the day.
Day Five: Travel to the centre of the Chocolate Hills and then jump on a Mountain Bike to really experience the beauty of the area and get the blood pumping. We ride mostly downhill through some spectacular jungle, villages and rice paddies. We have a late lunch at an invigorating waterfall before proceeding to Nuts Huts for a few nights.
Day Six: Today is a rest day. Nuts Huts is on the Loboc river so there is swimming, trekking, caving or just plain relaxing. There is an excellent sauna/massage combo that they do here that we recommend you do. Please note all activities on this day are at your own expense. Frankly I love to just get a massage and eat and sleep on this day. The food there is outstanding!
Day Seven: An early morning trip to the Tarsier sanctuary will be made before we head to a ferry to go to Camiguin the island of fire! There are more volcanoes here per sqare kilometre than anywhere else in the world. Hot springs are the go for when we arrive in the late afternoon.

Day Eight: We will either climb the majestic Hibok Hibok Volcano at 1,320 meters above sea level, or go trekking, canyoning, rappelling, and climbing. The activity we choose to do will depend on a range of factors. Camiguin truly is an amazing place. I asked my wife to marry me there on that little white island you can see above.
Day Nine: Rest day! If you like you can visit the white island I proposed to Melissa on or maybe hire a motorbike and zoom around the island (its not that big). We know heaps of things to do or maybe just get a massage and relax on the black sand beach. Any activities today are at own expense.
Day Ten: We leave Camiguin to head to Cagayan De Oro. On the way we visit another adventure park with "Asia's Longest Zip-line" before arriving at 'The Ranch'. If you're up for more zip-lining or rappelling you can do that here or you can settle in for a very pleasant few nights at this fantastic, secluded nature park.
Day Eleven: Canyoneering is today’s challenge! An action packed river trek with slides, jumps, climbs, swimming and rappelling. This activity is outstanding! After all the action we have a well earned barbecue lunch before discovering some more amazing waterfalls and secluded places in this huge nature park. You will feel truly blessed to be allowed a glimpse into this environment.
Day Twelve: We saved the best till last! Today we get to feel the rush of White Water Rafting . In the morning we do a 3 hr run with 14 rapids and then after lunch we tackle the heart pumping advanced rapids. This day is a true highlight of the trip and will leave you on a huge natural high.
Tonight we catch an overnight ferry back to Cebu which arrives at 5am and that is when the tour concludes.
Day Thirteen:
We arrive at the ferry terminal at around 5am in the morning and that is the end of our trip. Then of course we will help you to the airport or elsewhere.
Paalam until our next big adventure!

Fitness Requirements: A good standard of fitness is required to fully participate in everyday life and enjoy this action-packed tour. If you are already fit and healthy that's excellent but if you need a bit of help and motivation to prepare for the trip click here.
We do a wide range of activities, and they are all active. You will need stamina and fitness so preparation is essential for your own enjoyment. Young children do these activities so they are not out of reach or elite. A 'have-a-go' attitude and a little fitness is all that is required.
